despite this, chinese new year still has to celebrated.

things i love abt CNY
i love gatherings with family and relatives.
i love eating all the fattening new year goodies.
i love collecting red packets.
i love having steamboat.
i love when my home is decorated like temple.
i love playing manjong and blackjack.
i love to dress up and be on my best.
i love visiting crowded and smokey temples.
i love throwing yusheng around.
i love giving away 2 mandarin oranges.
i love reading the fate of tiger.

in short, i LOVE chinese new year alot!
we shld have all 15 days of CNY as public hols.

today is singhealth inter-polyclinics volleyball competition! each clinic is supposed to send in a team of 12 players and only 6 playing at one time. it's held in hougang sports hall....super near my home and i like it haa haa...

it was really a fun day even though we did not win the competition. besides i think we did really well to get the 6th place because i think our team cannot make it =P but still having fun is still the most impt. i hope we can have more of such events cos it brightens up our working life and more imptly we can stay fit! (:

today is the 1st day of year 2009! gosh....it seems like yesterday that the world celebrate the 1st day of 2008. it's public holiday so everyone is entitled to a day off....i love it!

gerie and i went to fullerton one to watch fireworks! we are so looking forward to watch it since it is not a everyday affair. apparently, we are not the only ones who thinks in this way becos there is soooo many people EVERYWHERE!

in order to get to the vantage point to view the fireworks, we squeeze through the crowd. endured body odours, resists scolding people and getting all sticky. BUT it was all worth it! the fireworks display was spectacular and we are just below it. it seems like it coming towards us so it's kinda intimating to a certain extent.

i just love fireworks....it's really pretty! i'm looking forward to the fireworks festival in Jan where different countries come together to show singapore their fireworks display (:

everyone makes resolution for the new year and i'm no exception. here's mine!

wear more dresses and skirts =P
fix my unruly tresses
appreciate things and people around me
strive better in my job
to have more personal time for myself

i went to the marina bay countdown website for the vantage points to view the fireworks. i was greeted by the countdown timer which shows the days, hours, minutes seconds and milliseconds. the milliseconds portion changes sooo fast that seems scary, emphasising on "time and tide waits for no man".

at this millisecond moment, the count timer reads 1 day, 12 hours, 29 minutes, 20 seconds, 77 milliseconds. ahhh!!

it's the 25th of dec....christmas, season of sharing and giving, season when santa claus is at his busiest and of cos 6 more day to year 2009. i must say this again.....time really flies, at a amazing speed that is beginning to scare me a little.

what's christmas without a list of wishes? hope santa claus fulfill all of them for me! (:

To have a interesting and peaceful working life
Good health for my family and myself
The one for me
Lastly, a happy life!

how i wish i can spent christmas in states, grand canyon where it's snowing now. a white christmas is my dream....it really brings out the christmas atmosphere. the snow, the warm fireplace, the REAL christmas tree in the living room. i miss GC and my frens alot alot.....when can i spent my days again like that?
